The Singing Fountain belongs amongst the dominants of Mariánské Lázně. It is situated on the colonnade by the statue of Abbot Reitenberger. It usually plays every odd hour and compositions take part in periodic order. The Singing Fountain is played for the first time on 30th April 1986. It operates every year from May until October.
A circular pool of 18 m in diameter with a 12-piece stone sculpture of a conventionalised flower forms the Singing Fountain; the centre is from polished steel. The fountain has 10 basic jet systems with more than two hundred and fifty water jets; the middle jet reaches a height of six metres. The operation of the whole fountain is computerised, which enables the creation of interesting jet combinations including, colourful illumination. The author of art design is an academic architect Pavel Mišík.
