BackNational cultural monument
On the 8th February 2010 the government of the Czech Republic passed the provision, which comes into validity on 1st July 2010, which classes the spa colonnade in Mariánské Lázně among national cultural monuments.
A neo-baroque cast iron colonnade was built by Johann König, according to plans by the Viennese architects Miksch and Niedzielsky, during 1888 - 1889. Its unique ornamentation - wooden panelled ceiling and ceiling frescos, from the academic painter Josef Vyleťal, date back to 1979.
